Civic Action

One of the (5) Five Major Objectives of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is To Promote Service in the Public InterestThe Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni Chapter has established a Community Service and Social Outreach Committee with the Mission and Purpose of meeting that objective.
While living our mantra of “Fraternalism Through Community Service” the Civic Action Committee has continuously provided award winning Charitable and Physical support to both Local and National initiatives that promote the wellbeing of the community. Below are just a few of the Community Service and Social Outreach highlights over the last year.
  • Support numerous families in need throughout Northwest Metropolitan Atlanta and Kenya through our Annual Holiday Giving initiative.
  • Fundraise and donate annually for the St. Jude Children Hospital through its Sunday of Hope Program.
  • Volunteer in several Mentoring and Reading Programs throughout the Cobb County Schools System.
  • Volunteer in maintaining South Cobb Drive through our Adopt-A- Mile program with the city of Smyrna, GA.
  • Make charitable donations and clothing drive to support the Atlanta Dream Center and Clarkston Refugee Community.
If you have a community service or social outreach initiative within Northwest Suburban Atlanta please feel free to contact us with your ideas and we will help any way that we can. With your help, the Alpharetta-Smyrna Alumni Civic Action Committee will continue to be a source of Service in the Public Interest.
